The Role
As Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the estimating team, ensuring a first-class internal sales service and helping to drive successful project outcomes. This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone organised, commercially aware and confident in dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.
You will manage day-to-day sales activity, coordinate enquiries, follow up quotations and maintain accurate sales data and reporting, helping MAC to maximise opportunities and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers
- Manage incoming sales enquiries and internal sales processes
- Follow up quotations and proactively identify additional quoting opportunities
- Answer sales and direct incoming telephone calls
- Track customer performance and support sales monitoring and reporting
- Maintain accurate internal customer records and databases
- Collaborate closely with estimating, contracts and wider business teams
- Assist with the preparation of office and commercial documentation
- Carry out general administrative duties including data input, scanning and document control
About You
You will be a motivated and well-organised individual with experience working in a sales coordination or administration role, ideally within construction or civils.
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- At least 1 year’s experience in the construction industry
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience in a sales coordination or internal sales role
- Database or CRM experience (experience using HubSpot would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of tendering and procurement processes
