MAC is a full-service global Contract Research Organisation (CRO) with a mission to serve with honesty and integrity to make an outstanding contribution to human health. We are looking for a friendly and approachable HR Advisor to join our Human Resources department in Blackpool.
The main focus of the role will be to provide HR/ER support across all levels of the organisation, offering professional advice, guidance, and support to managers and employees, ensuring consistent and legally compliant practices.
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 2 years’ HR advisory experience.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases through to successful resolution.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience of working in a similar industry (beneficial).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Confidentiality and problem-solving ability.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Confidence in advising managers.
- Excellent team working skills.
The knowledge and ability to provide advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence cases. Support managers through formal HR processes. Help resolve workplace conflicts informally. Build strong, positive relationships across the organisation.
As this is a hybrid role, there will be a requirement to work on site for at least 2 days per week, at our Lancashire, Blackpool site. Travel to other sites would be as and when required, therefore a valid driving licence and access to own transport would be beneficial.
