Mab’s Cross Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in Reception class / Key Stage One. This will be working with the class teacher and mainly providing support for children with a high level of need on a one-to-one basis. The position is for 31 hours and 15 minutes per week, working 8:30am to 3:45pm. Initially this is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting children with a high level of need, particularly autism.
  • Have experience using alternative forms of communication.
  • Be able to follow teachers’ direction and to give accurate feedback regarding pupils.
  • Be adaptable and able to use their initiative.
  • Have experience of working with children on the Engagement curriculum.
  • Be keen to make a difference to the school experience of children.
  • Be enthusiastic and creative.
  • Be willing to play a full part in the life of the school.
