We are currently looking for an Internal HGV Class 1 Driver in the Bilston area to support our Operations Team nationwide.
Your Role: As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you’ll play a crucial part in operations. You’ll be responsible for delivering and collecting our equipment from customer sites and our depots.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering and collecting hire equipment on time, safely and efficiently
- Comply with all driving and Road Transport legislation to ensure loads are delivered in a safe and legal manner
- Comply with Health and Safety requirements in depot, on the road, at customers’ sites to ensure loading and unloading stock is carried out in a safe and secure environment
- Communicate with the customer on site, as a company representative, and complete all paperwork to validate accuracy of delivery and collection
- Feedback to hire desk, delivery or collection, issues affecting customer service to enable resolution
- Carry out vehicle checks, follow procedures to rectify faults found to ensure vehicle is safe and legal
To Achieve This, You Will Need:
- HGV Driving licence class 1
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- At Least 2 years recent HGV driving experience
- Experience in delivering/collecting heavy goods to construction sites (Desirable)
- CSCS Card and Loader / Securer – Banksman - Slinger Training
- Use of mobile phones and apps to record work activity
- Capable of Manual Handling and physically fit to lift - move materials and moving in and out of vehicles in a construction site environment (Desirable)
- Hiab Licence Qualification (Desirable)
- First Aid
