Experienced farm worker sought for a progressive mixed arable and pedigree livestock business, near Huntly. Mayen Estate is a small family-run estate, near Rothiemay in Banffshire and is home to Mr & Mrs A Cheyne and family. Our thousand-acre estate boasts some of Scotland’s finest woodlands and gardens, with our rolling fields overlooking the scenic River Deveron. Mayen Estate raises pedigree Aberdeen Angus and pedigree Highland cattle, as well as 400 commercial lambing ewes.

We are looking for an experienced, practical and forward-thinking stock person. The ideal candidate would also have experience in crop management and tractor driving. We are looking for someone who is passionate about animal care, regenerative farming and nature. Must enjoy spending time outdoors in all weather and work well as part of a team.

Our ambition is to produce world-class breeding stock from these local, historic, quality breeds. Our mission is to farm hand-in-hand with nature, regenerating our landscape and creating a haven for wildlife. We are investing in the highest quality breeding stock, creating well-diversified herds with broad appeal. As a new farm business, we are investing in new buildings, machinery and equipment, which make this an excellent, modern, well-managed unit. Our facilities, high health status and QMS accreditation is testament to our care and love for our animals.
