My client based in Renfrew is looking for skilled mechanical fitters to assemble turbo and screw compressor packages. The role is a permanent one to join their talented team.
The Role:
- Assemble Turbo and Screw Compressor packages
- Set up, align and fit large engineering components
- Hydro test machined components along with flushing complete pipework systems
- Assist in the test set up
Skills:
- Must have SQV/NVQ Level 3/Modern Apprenticeship or City & Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting
- Experience of rotating equipment, including balancing and high speed gearbox assemblies
- Laser alignment experience for motors, pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment
- Able to interpret engineering drawings
Hours:
Standard working hours are 37 per week. Shift allowance on a rotating 3 shift system: Early Shift 6am-2pm, Backshift 2pm-10pm, Nightshift 10pm-6am (Sunday Night to Friday AM).
The Pay:
Standard 37 hours are £33,500 pa, rising to £34,500 after training period and review. With Shift Allowance £47,570 pa, rising after training and review to £48,990 pa. Shift allowance of x1.42. Overtime is available and all at time plus half (x1.5).
