MAA Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Parts Sales & Customer Support Coordinator on behalf of our client, a specialist engineering manufacturer and market leader within their field. Our client is looking for an organised, customer-focused and commercially minded individual to join their busy Sales department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer parts enquiries from initial request through to quotation, order processing and fulfilment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous sales administration, customer service, parts coordination or technical sales experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong organisational and communication skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments, ensuring parts orders are processed accurately and efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to join an established engineering business and become an important part of their Sales team.
Role:
- Managing and responding to incoming customer parts enquiries, identifying customer requirements and the correct parts
- Providing technical support and liaising with internal colleagues to resolve parts queries
- Preparing accurate quotations, including checking stock availability, pricing and lead times
- Liaising with suppliers regarding part availability, pricing and delivery times
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system
- Converting accepted quotations into sales orders and ensuring all information is processed accurately
- Raising purchase orders for non-stock or externally sourced items and managing outstanding supplier orders
- Monitoring customer orders from initial enquiry through to fulfilment, proactively resolving any issues or delays
- Creating pick lists and working closely with Warehouse, Purchasing and Sales teams to support efficient order fulfilment
- Maintaining accurate information within company systems while delivering a high standard of customer service
Skills:
- Previous experience within a Sales Administration, Customer Service, Parts, Technical Sales or similar role
- Experience processing quotations and customer orders
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and competing priorities
- Comfortable working with technical or engineering products
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and identify appropriate parts
- Experience using an ERP or similar business system would be advantageous
- Experience checking stock availability and coordinating with suppliers
- Ability to work accurately when processing quotations, orders and purchasing information
- Proactive approach to resolving customer and supply issues
- Good IT and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
This is an office-based role within a busy engineering manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to manage parts enquiries and ensure orders progress efficiently from initial enquiry through to fulfilment. The role will involve a combination of customer communication, quotation preparation, sales order processing, purchasing coordination and administration using the company's ERP system.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8:15am - 4:30pm
Friday 8:15am - 3:15pm
Pay:
Starting salary £34,000 37.5 basic hours
