Thesleff Group is seeking an exceptional Senior Group Events Manager to join our growing Head Office team and play a key leadership role in shaping the future of events across our portfolio of award‑winning hospitality brands. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Group Events Manager who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on operational excellence. Working closely with the Head of Events, the Senior Group Events Manager will act as second‑in‑command for the department, driving commercial performance, supporting team development, and ensuring the successful delivery of extraordinary events across the Group.

About the Role
As Senior Group Events Manager, you will support the strategic direction and operational delivery of the events department across all brands and venues. You will oversee a diverse range of events including corporate functions, private dining experiences, exclusive venue hires, luxury celebrations, brand activations and high‑profile hospitality events. The Senior Group Events Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, maintaining exceptional service standards and supporting the continued development of the events team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Support the Head of Events in delivering the Group's events strategy
- Act as department lead in the absence of the Head of Events
- Identify opportunities to improve client experience, event delivery and commercial performance
- Contribute to long‑term departmental planning and growth initiatives
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Manage and convert event enquiries across the Group
- Drive high conversion rates through excellent client relationship management
- Negotiate minimum spends, hire fees and event packages
- Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities across venues
- Support the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Develop relationships with corporate clients, agencies and repeat bookers
- Event Delivery
- Oversee events from initial enquiry through to execution
- Ensure every event is delivered to the highest operational standards
- Work closely with venue management and operational teams to guarantee seamless execution
- Maintain consistency of service and client communication across all venues
- Team Development
- Support, mentor and develop Events Managers and Coordinators
- Drive consistency in systems, standards and working practices
- Assist with departmental structure, succession planning and performance management
- Systems & Operational Excellence
- Ensure effective utilisation of systems including TripleSeat and OpenTable
- Monitor and improve event processes and SOP compliance
- Support reporting, forecasting and performance analysis across the department
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Senior Group Events Manager with a passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience within events management in hospitality, luxury lifestyle or premium events environments
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with experience managing revenue targets and budgets
- Outstanding organisational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
Desirable Experience
- Experience working across multiple venues or brands
- Knowledge of TripleSeat, OpenTable or similar event management systems
- Experience delivering high‑profile and high‑value events
- Previous involvement in departmental strategy and commercial planning
