La Terrazza at Sale e Pepe Mare, located within The Langham, London, brings the spirit of coastal Italy to one of the capital's most prestigious hotels. Combining exceptional seafood, warm Italian hospitality, and vibrant Mediterranean energy, Sale e Pepe Mare offers guests a truly memorable dining experience. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Commis Waiters / Waitresses to join our team from the end of June. Initially, you will support service operations on La Terrazza, our seasonal outdoor dining destination, before transitioning into the main restaurant later in the year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in hospitality and gain experience within a premium restaurant environment.

The Role

As a Commis Waiter / Waitress, you will support the front-of-house team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with Waiters, Supervisors, Sommeliers, and Managers, you will help ensure service runs smoothly and efficiently throughout every shift. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering excellent hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Waiters and Supervisors during service
  • Assist with setting and preparing tables to company standards
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation throughout the restaurant
  • Refill water, clear tables, and assist with table maintenance
  • Support the smooth flow of service during busy periods
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Learn menu knowledge, service standards, and guest engagement skills
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams
  • Help create a warm, welcoming, and memorable guest experience
