Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Group Management Accountant role based in Aylesbury. The Group Management Accountant will prepare and review monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations across the group. The role involves producing financial reports and analysis to support decision‑making, monitoring budgets and variances, and preparing forecasts and cash flow projections. The individual will support the month‑end and year‑end close processes, assist with statutory reporting, and liaise with auditors and other external stakeholders as required. The role also includes improving financial controls, refining reporting processes, and partnering with operational teams to provide insight into performance and profitability.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with experience in a group or multi‑entity environment.
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements, including management accounts and related reports.
- Hands‑on experience with Accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes.
- Well‑developed Analytical Skills to interpret data, explain variances, and provide clear financial insights to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems; Sage 200 experience with reporting tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
