As Marketing Assistant (Social Media), you'll play an important role in helping us deliver engaging marketing campaigns across our MA Business events portfolio. Working closely with the Marketing Lead and colleagues across the business, you'll support social media activity, contribute creative ideas and help bring campaigns to life across a range of channels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their marketing career in a supportive, collaborative environment. You'll gain hands‑on experience across social media, digital marketing and live events, while learning from experienced colleagues who will help you develop your skills and confidence.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the planning and delivery of social media activity for MA Business events, creating content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
- Assist with the setup, monitoring and optimisation of paid social campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance and help produce reports, sharing insights and recommendations with the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Work with our in‑house studio to create and adapt graphic templates, ensuring brand guidelines are followed.
- Review event photography and videography, selecting suitable content for websites and social media channels.
- Create marketing toolkits, materials and HTMLs for sponsors and exhibitors.
- Gather testimonials and case studies to support ongoing promotional activity.
- Support the delivery of live events when required and assist with wider marketing projects across the portfolio.
- Work closely with colleagues across marketing, sales, events and creative teams.
- Use performance data, feedback and insight to help improve campaign results.
- Contribute ideas that enhance audience engagement and strengthen our marketing activity.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- A strong understanding of social media platforms and how they are used for commercial marketing.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience using tools such as Adestra, Evessio, Adobe Express, Photo Affinity or similar image editing software.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or other reporting and performance tools.
- Experience supporting marketing activity for events, awards or exhibitions.
- An interest in content creation, social media trends and digital marketing.
