A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a CDM / Fire Risk Assessor to join its expanding London team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional with experience across CDM 2015 and fire risk assessment, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the built environment.

You will support clients, designers and contractors by providing CDM advisory services and undertaking non-intrusive fire risk assessments, contributing to safe, compliant project delivery from pre-construction through to completion and occupation.

The role combines office, site and client-facing work, with support from a wider national Health & Safety and CDM team.

  • Support or act as CDM Principal Designer, depending on experience
  • Prepare, review and manage Pre-Construction Information, risk registers and Health & Safety Files
  • Review Construction Phase Plans and designers risk information
  • Undertake non-intrusive fire risk assessments (Type 1 & Type 3) in accordance with current guidance
  • Liaise directly with clients, duty holders and project stakeholders
  • Attend project and design team meetings as required

Experience working in a CDM, health & safety or fire safety consultancy environment:

  • Practical knowledge of CDM 2015 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Experience carrying out fire risk assessments in occupied buildings
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with clients and project teams
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Construction (essential)
  • NEBOSH Construction Fire Certificate (essential)
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in fire risk assessment (desirable)
