A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a CDM / Fire Risk Assessor to join its expanding London team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional with experience across CDM 2015 and fire risk assessment, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the built environment.
The Role
You will support clients, designers and contractors by providing CDM advisory services and undertaking non-intrusive fire risk assessments, contributing to safe, compliant project delivery from pre-construction through to completion and occupation. The role combines office, site and client-facing work, with support from a wider national Health & Safety and CDM team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver CDM advisory services in line with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- Support or act as CDM Principal Designer, depending on experience
- Prepare, review and manage Pre-Construction Information, risk registers and Health & Safety Files
- Review Construction Phase Plans and designers risk information
- Submit and manage F10 notifications where required
- Undertake non-intrusive fire risk assessments (Type 1 & Type 3) in accordance with current guidance
- Produce clear, proportionate reports and action plans
- Liaise directly with clients, duty holders and project stakeholders
- Attend project and design team meetings as required
About You
- Experience working in a CDM, health & safety or fire safety consultancy environment
- Practical knowledge of CDM 2015 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Experience carrying out fire risk assessments in occupied buildings
- Confident communicator, able to engage with clients and project teams
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Construction (essential)
- NEBOSH Construction Fire Certificate (essential)
- Minimum level 3 qualification in fire risk assessment (desirable)
- IOSH or other relevant professional membership (desirable)
