A Marketing / Bids Manager is responsible for supporting us in winning new business through high-quality bid submissions, while also driving marketing and brand activity to support growth. The role sits between business development, marketing, and bid delivery, ensuring a consistent and compelling company message across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bids & Tender Management
    • Lead the end-to-end bid process (PQQs, ITTs, proposals)
    • Assess opportunities and support bid/no-bid decisions
    • Plan and manage bid programmes, ensuring deadlines are met
    • Write, edit, and review high-quality, compliant submissions
    • Coordinate input from technical teams, directors, and finance
    • Ensure all bids are compelling, accurate, and aligned to client requirements
    • Maintain and develop a bid library (case studies, templates, CVs etc)
    • Carry out post-bid reviews and continuous improvement
  • Marketing & Business Development
    • Support delivery of the overall marketing strategy and growth plan
    • Manage and lead on the design of company collateral (brochures, case studies, presentations)
    • Oversee website, social media, and digital campaigns
    • Coordinate PR, events, and industry engagement
    • Produce content to support bids and brand positioning
    • Work with directors to promote key services and sectors
    • Strengthen client engagement and brand presence
  • Stakeholder & Project Coordination
    • Act as the central point of contact for bid activity
    • Lead internal workshops and bid kick-off meetings
    • Manage multiple bids/projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
    • Build relationships across internal teams and external partners
    • Ensure consistent messaging and tone across all submissions

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in bid management, proposal writing, or marketing
  • Background in construction / property consultancy / built environment preferred
  • Excellent written communication and design/editing skills
  • Strong project management and organisational ability
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and quality control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and InDesign or similar
  • Creative, strategic thinker with commercial awareness
