To expand the capabilities of the M9 network in London, we are looking for an Operations Specialist who will share our values and become part of our friendly M9 Team. The role is an all-round operational role where you will be handling Air/Ocean/Road shipments Import/Export, with a particular focus on Air Exports. There will be enough room for you to develop yourself, and we will offer personal training which is required for the job.
Main duties of Operations Specialist are:
- Handling of imports and exports by air, sea, and land, from the reception and documentation to managing the delivery with transport companies and forwarders.
- Coordination of international freight forwarding with specific handling to/from different markets (destinations/origins), receiving of customers' orders.
- Daily contact with customers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport companies.
- Keeping of orders in company database.
- Issuing of debit notes to customers and filling of expenses from providers.
- Calculation of transport costs, creating proposals to customers and internally in the company networking, choosing transportation routes.
- Making quotations to customers, own offices, and network agents.
- Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers.
Performance indicators:
- Responses to customer requests and the provision of commercial proposals within 24 hours of receipt.
- Registration of all requests and operations in the corporate system within 24 hours.
Required skills and experience:
- From junior to experienced skill set in logistics products, preferably with a strong knowledge of Air Exports.
- Overall market knowledge.
- Willing to develop yourself.
