Looking for a driving role with a major name behind it? We are recruiting reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join a large-scale logistics operation in Yate, supporting one of the UK's most recognised parcel and distribution networks.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work as part of a 2-man furniture delivery team, delivering furniture safely and professionally to customers' homes.
The Role
- As part of a two-person crew, you'll share responsibility for delivering furniture from the vehicle directly into customers' homes.
- Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle safely on planned routes.
- Work alongside your delivery partner throughout the day.
- Deliver furniture to customers' homes.
- Safely unload, carry and manoeuvre furniture.
- Take furniture into the required room within the property.
- Complete multiple deliveries throughout the shift.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
- Follow all company health & safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Must be physically fit as the role involves regular lifting, carrying and manoeuvring of furniture.
- Valid UK C1 / 7.5 Tonne driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum 5 penalty points.
- No serious driving endorsements.
- Minimum 2 years' 7.5 Tonne driving experience.
- Professional and reliable approach.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable working as part of a 2-man team.
- Customer-focused attitude.
Hours & Pay
£18 per hour. Start times will be between 5:00am and 7:00am, depending on your allocated route. You'll complete a paid driving assessment and induction before starting, giving you the opportunity to become familiar with the operation and expectations. This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the potential to secure a long-term position with a major and well-established UK logistics operation.
