We're currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for an exciting Double Deck (DD) / Longer Semi-Trailer (LST) trunking role and store deliveries roles with our client based in Bellshill. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional trunk drivers looking for regular, ongoing work to work on the following:
- Trunking - Fixed Sunday to Thursday or Thursday to Monday pattern with a 14:00 start time
- Stores delivery drivers - fixed Thursday to Monday shift pattern with a 05:00 start time
The Role:
- Depot-to-depot trunking using Double Deck (DD) and Longer Semi-Trailers (LST)
- Working a regular pattern 05:00 - 14:00 start time role dependent
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and completing all relevant paperwork
- Safe and efficient transportation of goods between distribution centres
- Ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service
Pay: £16.23 - £20.56 per hour minimum. Weekly pay.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Minimum of 1 year's Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous DD or LST experience is advantageous, although full familiarisation may be provided for suitable candidates
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
