M4 Recruitment are currently recruiting newly passed and experienced HGV 2 Multi-Drop Home Delivery Drivers for our client, a national distribution company based in Dartford, specialising in the delivery of flat-pack home furnishings to residential properties. This role involves the safe handling and delivery of items ranging from small household goods to larger furniture items. Drivers are expected to always maintain a professional approach while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of customer service.
Pay Rate: £19.03 per hour; this is a temp to perm position paying a salary of £47,786.18 when perm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects in line with company procedures
- Load and secure goods safely to ensure damage-free transportation
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to customers' homes, carrying items into the nominated room
- Conduct on-site risk assessments to ensure safe manual handling and delivery practices
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers
- Process returned goods in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
Candidate Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence, held for a minimum of 2 years experience
- Previous experience in multi-drop, removals, or home delivery work
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and manual handling procedures
- High attention to detail and the ability to follow operational processes
- Confident use of GPS and route-planning systems
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a physically demanding environment
- Happy to work as part of a 2 man crew
Additional Requirements:
- An in-date DBS check is required
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
