We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our client in Darlington (DL1 2NG), with opportunities available for both Skip Drivers and Roll On Roll Off (RORO) Drivers. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and professional HGV drivers looking for regular, ongoing work with excellent rates of pay.
What We Offer a Class 2 Driver:
- £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday
- £17.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday
- £18.00 per hour for any hours worked over 40 hours
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am until approximately 5:00pm
- Saturday mornings on a rota basis, usually 1 in 3

Key Responsibilities for a Class 2 Driver:
- Safely operate Class 2 vehicles to collect and deliver skips or RORO containers
- Complete collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure loads and containers are transported securely
- Complete relevant paperwork accurately
- Follow all site, health & safety and environmental procedures
- Comply with drivers hours and Working Time Regulations
- Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and site staff
Experience & Qualifications Needed for a Class 2 Driver:
- Valid Class 2 (C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience
- Skip or RORO experience preferred, although relevant HGV experience will be considered
- Good knowledge of drivers hours and Working Time Regulations
- No more than 6 points on licence
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
