The Role
As a Porter, you'll work alongside experienced drivers and installation teams to deliver goods to customers' homes and businesses. You'll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and with excellent customer service. This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling, heavy lifting, assembling products, and supporting installations at customer sites.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Assisting drivers with deliveries and collections across the UK.
- Safely loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
- Delivering products into customers' homes, offices, and commercial premises.
- Assisting with the assembly and installation of furniture, equipment, and other products.
- Removing packaging and ensuring customer premises are left clean and tidy after installations.
- Handling goods carefully to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.
