M4 Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Gateway Coordinator to join a leading freight forwarding and logistics organisation.
Working as part of the Gateway team, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, professional customer service while ensuring all operations comply with industry best practice, company procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vehicles collecting and delivering consignments from airlines.
- Manage the flow of consignments arriving and departing, maintaining high levels of accuracy, safety and security.
- Complete customs reporting and discharge T1s where required.
- Ensure accurate data capture and timely updates to internal systems.
- Resolve customer and supplier queries promptly.
- Ensure daily schedules, SOPs and KPIs are met within required deadlines.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Support invoicing, job costing and other operational administration.
- Monitor costs and support internal and external rate reviews.
- Ensure best-practice processes and compliance standards are maintained.
- Work closely with internal and external customers to deliver excellent service.
About You
- Previous experience within freight forwarding is essential.
- Experience with consolidations/gateway operations is advantageous.
- Airline transport experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of Df T/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised, methodical and able to manage deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. xgikmsk
