M4 Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Customs Operations Supervisor to join a leading freight forwarding and logistics organisation in London.
This is a key role responsible for overseeing customs operations across nominated customer accounts, ensuring compliance, operational excellence and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day customs operations for nominated accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with SLAs, contracts and customs requirements.
- Monitor operational performance, volumes, revenue and profitability.
- Produce regular and monthly customs reporting.
- Drive improvements in quality, efficiency and working practices.
- Support strategic account plans and identify opportunities for business development.
- Coordinate activities across customer teams and internal departments.
- Act as the key customer representative within the organisation.
- Support and develop team members and contribute to project initiatives.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' senior-level experience within freight forwarding and customs.
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of customs processes and regimes.
- Experience within freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Commercially aware with a focus on performance and profitability.
- Confident managing customer relationships and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Strategic, proactive and results-driven, with excellent people skills.
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages would be advantageous.
