M4 Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics and shipping company for a Transport Co-ordinator to join their Belfast branch in Nutts Corner, Crumlin.
Salary: Around £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
The Role
Working closely with the General Manager, you will coordinate day-to-day transport and import activities, ensuring shipments are managed efficiently and customer requirements are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating UK import and export activities
- Preparing transport, customs and export documentation
- Completing Dangerous Goods Notifications where required
- Managing Proof of Delivery scanning and logistics records
- Liaising with transport companies and customers
- Maintaining accurate systems, files, costing and invoicing
- Preparing and monitoring KPIs
- Identifying and escalating issues that may impact deadlines
- Providing excellent customer service and supporting general transport operations
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- At least 12 months' experience in a groupage/shipping transport environment
- Knowledge of export and customs procedures (desirable)
- Experience with Dangerous Goods documentation (desirable)
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good IT/computer literacy
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- A full clean driving licence and own transport
