Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rota 18:00 to 06:00.
We're seeking a skilled Yard Shunter to join our night team at a busy distribution centre. If you're confident driving large vehicles and have a knack for managing a yard, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle & Trailer Movement: Safely maneuvering HGVs and trailers around the yard and warehouse areas.
- Safety & Inspections: Performing routine safety checks and inspections to ensure vehicles and trailers are roadworthy and comply with regulations.
- Coupling & Uncoupling: Efficiently connecting and disconnecting trailer units.
- Site Support: Assisting with smooth operations across transport, production, and distribution, especially during loading and unloading.
- Health & Safety: Maintaining a strong focus on safety, reporting hazards, and preventing accidents.
What We're Looking For:
- HGV Class 1 Licence
- Reliability, safety-consciousness, and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience in a similar role is a bonus, but not required
