Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire Hours: 10:00pm – 6:00am Shift Pattern: * Week 1: Monday to Saturday * Week 2: Sunday to Saturday, with one weekday off Pay:£15.00 per hour We are looking for a proactive and organised Night Transport Administrator to join our growing transport team in Didcot. This is a temp to perm , full-time night shift role supporting the smooth running of our overnight transport operation. You'll play a key part in ensuring drivers are supported, deliveries stay on schedule, and any issues are dealt with efficiently. If you're calm under pressure, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent organisational skills, we'd like to hear from you. This is a temp - perm role so it will lead to a permanent contract if successful The Role As our Night Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating overnight transport activities and providing administrative support to the transport operation. You'll work closely with drivers and the planning team to ensure deliveries and collections run as smoothly as possible. Key Responsibilities * Monitor the progress of vehicles throughout the night using transport management and vehicle tracking systems. * Communicate regularly with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure routes are completed efficiently. * Prepare and issue driver paperwork, ensuring all instructions are accurate before departures. * Liaise with transport planners and other departments to maintain effective communication throughout the shift. * Complete administrative tasks accurately, including reports, emails, and transport documentation. * Deliver a comprehensive handover to the daytime transport team, ensuring all outstanding issues are clearly communicated. What We're Looking For * Previous experience within transport, logistics, or an administration role is beneficial but not essential. * Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. * Able to work independently and manage priorities during night shifts. * Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner. * A positive attitude with the ability to remain calm and focused in a busy operational environment. * A willingness to learn and develop within a transport and logistics business.
