HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Driver Location: Bristol Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:18 Contract: Temporary to Permanent Pay Rate: £17.27 – £34.54 per hour (after 12 weeks) Newly Qualified HGV Class 2 Drivers – This Could Be the Perfect Opportunity to Gain Experience! We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Drivers to join a dedicated and professional team supporting essential waste and recycling services across Bristol. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply. No previous refuse and recycling experience is required. To help you settle into the role, you will receive a fully paid 5-day induction, giving you the opportunity to: Have your driving skills assessed in a supportive environment. Receive training specific to the role and vehicles. This makes the position an excellent starting point for newly qualified HGV Class 2 drivers looking to build their experience and develop their career. You will finish at approximately 2:15pm each day, making this a fantastic opportunity for drivers who have family commitments, school runs or simply want a better work-life balance. As an HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Driver, you will play an important role in keeping the city clean and supporting environmental sustainability. Safely operating a Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicle. Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects. Assisting with the collection of waste and recycling materials. Loading and unloading recycling boxes and containers. Supporting other service areas, including recycling and garden waste collections when required. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced HGV Class 2 drivers. A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence. Good knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations and road transport legislation. A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work. The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
