Transport Administrator

M4 Specialist are currently recruiting for An experienced transport administrator on behalf of our client based in Warrington (WA)5 for an immediate start.

You will provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department. Ensuring all customer and driver queries are dealt within a timely manner.

A key part of your role will be briefing and de-briefing drivers, adjusting invoices, checking Tachograph details, running reports using SAP, Taking calls and various other housekeeping duties.

Training will be provided but ideally, we require some previous experience within a Transport Distribution role.

Shift Pattern : 09.30 – 19.00 Monday to Friday & once fully trained you will be required to work working 1 in 3 weekends.

Rate Of Pay : £13.44 per hour.

What will you be doing?

• Administration and data entry to maintain the Company’s systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations
• Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers.
• Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks
• Dealing with driver and customer queries
• Creating Driver run sheets
• Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system
• Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner
• Carrying out any other formal and legal duties
• Record keeping
• Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur.
• Carrying out driver licence checks.

Qualifications / Experience

• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
• skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
• Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
• Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
• Previous transport experience is preferred but not essential
