We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver to join our client’s growing operation on a Temp to Perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering stable weekday work, no weekends, and long-term career prospects.

The role will mainly involve driving a Class 2 vehicle, with Class 1 Wagon & Drag work required a few times per month. You will also complete 1–2 nights out per week as part of the regular schedule.

What We Offer:
  • £14.64 per hour

  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays once permanent
  • Christmas shutdown included (3 days holiday allocation used)

Typical Weekly Schedule:
  • Monday – Run to Scotland (night out)
  • Tuesday – Return run, followed by a trunk to Rotherham
  • Wednesday – Local deliveries/runs
  • Thursday – Run to Scotland (night out)
  • Friday – Return run, followed by a trunk to Rotherham
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely complete deliveries and trunking routes in line with schedules
  • Operate both Class 2 and Class 1 Wagon & Drag vehicles
  • Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork accurately
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation, Working Time Directive, and driver hours regulations
  • Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
Experience & Qualifications Needed:
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
  • Previous Wagon & Drag experience preferred
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Good communication and timekeeping skills
  • Reliable and flexible attitude towards nights out and route changes
