Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct key-for-key vehicle exchanges (collection and delivery)
- Perform vehicle condition checks and complete handover documentation
- Clean and prepare de-fleet vehicles to reduce end-of-term charges
- Provide basic training on vehicle controls and features
- Ensure all training is signed off by the driver
- Record any issues or concerns raised during handover
- Access and update fleet records via the fleet management system
- Maintain accurate audit trail for each swap
- Upload signed training and handover documents
- Liaise with Depot Assistant for scheduling and stock handovers
- Support depot day activities including stock counts and vehicle inspections
- Report issues or delays back to depot team
- One operative to act as daily lead: coordinate routing, task allocation, and escalate issues
- Ensure vehicles are presented clean and roadworthy
- Verify that all required accessories (keys, documents, equipment) are included
- Represent the company professionally during handovers
- Communicate clearly with employed drivers and depot staff
- Submit daily activity logs (vehicles swapped, issues, mileage)
- Contribute to weekly reconciliation and monthly progress reviews
- Suggest improvements to process efficiency or driver experience
Skills & Experience Required:
- Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
- Experience in vehicle logistics, fleet operations, or delivery driving
- Strong attention to detail (documentation, condition checks)
- Basic IT/data entry skills (for updating records)
