A leading roofing materials supplier based in Surbiton is looking to recruit a reliable and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse & Yard Operative to join their busy team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business supplying roofing products to trade and commercial customers throughout the local area.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Saturday: 7:30am – 10:30am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse and yard.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders.
  • Moving, stacking and storing roofing materials and stock.
  • Assisting customers collecting goods from the branch.
  • Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and organised.
  • Conducting daily forklift and equipment safety checks.
  • Following all health and safety procedures.
  • Supporting colleagues with general warehouse and yard duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
  • Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience within a warehouse, builders merchant, roofing, construction or yard environment.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, hardworking and customer-focused attitude.
  • Physically fit and comfortable handling building materials.
