M4 Recruitment is seeking experienced LGV1 Drivers for our client in Barking. This role is essential to ensuring efficient logistics and the timely transport of goods between depots and distribution centres.
Shift & Duties:
- Hours: 19:00 – 07:00 (includes a sleep out)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
- Start times: between 17:00pm- 23:00pm
Competitive Pay Rates:
- Weekdays (08:00 - 19:00) – £19.00
- Weeknights (19:00 - 08:00) – £21.71
- Overtime £28.74 after working 40 hours a week.
- Bank Holidays – £35.78
Key Responsibilities:
- Trunking Operations: Safely complete assigned trunking routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-trip checks, reporting any defects.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks.
- Communication: Keep the logistics team updated on delivery progress and any issues.
- Professionalism: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) License
- Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on license
- Clean DBS check
- Level D / Cargo Operative training (can be completed online)
- 5-year employment history for background verification
