About the Role
M4 Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a modern, state-of-the-art chilled warehouse facility in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, hands-on role within a supportive environment that offers structured development and clear progression pathways. You will be working with modern electric forklift trucks in a temperature-controlled warehouse, supporting the smooth flow of goods from production through to distribution.
Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Overtime: Paid at 1.25x after 40 hours
Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7 on a shift rota (Monday-Saturday patterns may apply)
Shift Start Times: Multiple start times from 05:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Counterbalance FLT safely across chilled warehouse and loading areas
- Check, transport, load and unload goods efficiently
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using order documentation
- Complete stock rotation and replenishment to minimize waste
- Ensure vehicles are loaded safely, with goods correctly placed and secured
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard environment
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
- Collaborate across departments to meet deadlines and maintain workflow
This role involves working in a chilled, physical environment and requires accuracy, attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (renewed within the last 3 years)
- Previous FLT experience within warehouse, distribution, FMCG, chilled food or food production environments
- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to work rotating shifts
- Confident communicator, able to work independently and within a team
