M4 Recruitment is currently seeking a dependable and motivated HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join a busy haulage operation based in Cheltenham. This is a multi-drop, temperature-controlled delivery role distributing fresh products to retail customers across the region. You will play a key part in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time, while providing excellent customer service. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply; full training and structured development are available to support long-term career progression in professional HGV driving.

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Driver Bonus: Performance & attendance bonus available (paid monthly)

Overtime: Paid at enhanced rates

Hours: 48 hours per week (average roster)

Working Pattern: 5 shifts per week

Shift Times: Night shifts, typically starting between 23:00 - 02:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles in compliance with UK driving laws, Driver CPC and tachograph regulations
  • Complete multi-drop deliveries across the region
  • Ensure correct stock rotation and maintain product quality
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
  • Load and unload goods safely, including manual handling and use of handling equipment
  • Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and security procedures
  • Work independently while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Provide cover for colleagues during holidays or absences as required

This is a physically active role involving night driving and working within a temperature-controlled distribution environment.

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving License Category C
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first attitude
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends and bank holidays

Desirable:

  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience within FMCG or temperature-controlled distribution
  • Newly qualified drivers are welcome; full support and development provided.
