We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Road Marking Operative to join our client. As a Road Marking Operative, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of road markings on highways, streets, and other transportation infrastructure. You will work with specialized equipment to ensure all markings are clear, accurate, and meet safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Road Marking Application: Operate road marking machinery and hand tools to apply thermoplastic, paint, or other marking materials to roads, streets, and other surfaces.
  • Preparation: Prepare the surface for marking, including cleaning, priming, and preparing areas for optimal adhesion and durability of the marking materials.
  • Traffic Management: Assist in setting up traffic management equipment and ensuring the safety of both workers and road users during operations.
  • Material Handling: Ensure correct selection and use of materials for specific tasks, including ensuring the correct color, thickness, and quality of road markings.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Carry out regular maintenance on road marking equipment to ensure proper functioning, and perform repairs when needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all works meet legal and regulatory requirements, such as health and safety standards, environmental guidelines, and traffic management procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other team members to complete projects within set timelines and specifications.
