M4 Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Instructor to join our well-known client based in Brimpton.
The role will cover training in Brimpton, however, there could also be training required at other sites so you must be willing to travel.
You will be able to train new and refresh licences on counterbalance, reach trucks and PPTs (Powered Pallet Trucks). This role ensures that all operators are trained to recognized safety standards and remain compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver both theory-based and practical training for a variety of forklift types.
- Assess competence through evaluations and practical assessments.
- Maintain accurate paper work, ensure all correspondence arrives at the office promptly and with the driver trainer administrator.
- Conduct forklift induction training for new starters and refresher sessions for existing employees.
- Monitor forklift use across the site and report unsafe practices or non-compliance.
- When training is not required FLT duties will replace the work load.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Recognized Forklift Instructor Qualification (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, or NPORS).
- Proven experience operating and training on forklifts.
- Excellent communication, observation, and instructional skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety legislation and best practices.
- Ability to manage training records and produce clear documentation.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in the MHE industry especially FLT.
- The willingness to learn and progress, drive to customer sites and be adaptable as well as punctual and reliable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: At customer sites or at our site in RG7, predominantly mobile.
