Job Description
M4 Recruitment are looking for a reliable and physically fit Yard Operative to join our clients team based on the outskirts of Swindon.
In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including heavy lifting, sorting, grading, and stacking timber. The successful candidate will work alongside a team to ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge to succeed in this role.
Working Hours: Monday β Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Timber Handling: This will involve frequent heavy lifting, manual handling, and moving large or bulky items.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines. Assist in loading and unloading timber as needed, ensuring it is handled efficiently and safely.
- Quality Control: Ensure products are checked for defects and correctly graded, reporting any issues to the supervisor immediately. Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Machine Support: Occasionally assist in operating machinery or transporting materials around the yard, depending on experience and training.
Requirements:
