A leading roofing materials supplier based in Surbiton is looking to recruit a reliable and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse & Yard Operative to join their busy team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business supplying roofing products to trade and commercial customers throughout the local area.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Saturday: 7:30am - 10:30am
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse and yard.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders.
- Moving, stacking and storing roofing materials and stock.
- Assisting customers collecting goods from the branch.
- Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and organised.
- Conducting daily forklift and equipment safety checks.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Supporting colleagues with general warehouse and yard duties as required.
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
- Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience within a warehouse, builders merchant, roofing, construction or yard environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking and customer-focused attitude.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling building materials.
