M4 Recruitment (Heathrow) are currently recruiting for a Counter Sales Assistant/Yardsman on behalf of a well-established roofing builders merchant based in Uxbridge.
Job Details:
- Position: Counter Sales Assistant
- Location: Uxbridge
- Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
- Overtime: Occasional Saturday shifts available
- Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
The Role:
- Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Providing product knowledge and advice on roofing and building materials
- Processing orders and handling payments accurately
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring the counter area is tidy and organised
- Assisting with yard operations, including loading/unloading deliveries, moving stock, and keeping the yard organised and safe
- Supporting the wider branch team as needed
- Adhering to all health & safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a builders merchant, DIY, or similar retail environment
- Ability and willingness to assist with yard duties and manual handling tasks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, proactive, and organised
