Our client, a leading logistics and supply chain company, is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Delivery Driver to join their team based in Harlow. Successful candidates will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations in a Class 2 vehicle while ensuring compliance with all transport regulations and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle for multi-drop deliveries and collections.
- Must be able to lift heavy items. Majority of loads will be furniture.
- Adhere to scheduled delivery times and routes.
- Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Ensure goods are loaded and unloaded securely, with proper handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all driving legislation, including tachograph rules and road safety laws.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience in a similar driving role as a Class 2 Driver.
- Strong understanding of UK road networks and transport regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate of £19.34 per hour; overtime pay after 48 hours is £29.01 per hour.
- Overtime opportunities and shift flexibility.
Working Hours:
- Full-time, typically Monday to Saturday.
- 4 day rolling rota.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month.
- Start times between 5-6 am.
