HGV 2 Driver in Harlow

Our client,a leading logistics and supply chain company, is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Delivery Driverto join their team based in Harlow. Successful candidates will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations in a Class 2 vehiclewhile ensuring compliance with all transport regulations and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle for multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• Must be able to lift heavy items. Majority of loads will be furniture.
• Adhere to scheduled delivery times and routes.
• Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Ensure goods are loaded and unloaded securely, with proper handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers.
• Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all driving legislation, including tachograph rules and road safety laws.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience in a similar driving role as a Class 2 Driver.
• Valid DBS
• A strong understanding of UK road networks and transport regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Benefits:

• Competitive pay rate of £19.34 per hour. overtime pay after 48 hours is £29.01 per hour.

Working Hours:

• Full-time, typically Monday to Saturday
• 4 day rolling rota
• Must be able to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month.
• Start times between 5-6 am
