M4 Recruitment are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for PM shifts for our client in Basildon. This role is essential to ensuring efficient logistics and the timely transport of goods between depots and distribution centers.
Shift & Start Times: PM shift between 19:00 start
Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Competitive Pay Rates:
- Weeknights (19:00 - 08:00) Β£21.71
- Overtime Β£28.74 after working 40 hours a week
- Bank Holidays Β£35.78
Key Responsibilities:
- Trunking Operations: Safely complete assigned trunking routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-trip checks, reporting any defects.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks.
- Communication: Keep the logistics team updated on delivery progress and any issues.
- Professionalism: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) License
- Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on license
- Clean DBS check
- Cargo Operative training (can be completed online)
