We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for store delivery and occasional trunking work for a well-known national retailer, operating from a busy RDC in Faverdale Industrial Estate, Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking full-time hours and consistent, long-term work with great earning potential, as the retailer is in a period of expansion, so multiple positions are currently available.

What's on Offer:

  • Monday to Friday only - No weekends
  • Nationwide deliveries - No London routes
  • Full-time hours with shifts ranging from 10 to up to 15 hours
  • Work as part of a delivery team with other Drivers and Drivers Mates
  • Yard shunter positions also available - please enquire when applying

Rates of Pay:

  • £15.50 per hour - Day shifts
  • £17.50 per hour - Night shifts
  • £22.00 per hour - Overtime (after 10 hours daily)

Many of our drivers earned in excess of £50k last year.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with 2 years experience
  • Driver CPC and Digi Tacho card
  • Must pass a Driving Assessment
  • Must complete a paid Induction Day
  • Good communication skills and a team player
  • Must work well under pressure
