Our client based in Bristol is looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers for refuse collection work for the local council on a temp to perm contract. Working hours are Monday to Friday (with overtime available) with start times at either 06:00 or 14:00.
Pay Rates:
- £15.25ph - £22.88ph (first 12 weeks)
- £16.67 - £25.01 (after 12 weeks)
Working hours:
- 06:00 - 14:18
- 14:00 - 22:18
Duties:
- Driving a Class 2 Recycling/Refuse Vehicle.
- Pushing/pulling Waste Bins as required.
- Lifting recycling boxes as required (up to a max of 25kg).
- Loading/Unloading.
- Responsible for vehicle checks, using mobile IT equipment and completing daily paperwork.
- On occasion you may be required to work in various other departments, e.g. Recycling, Garden Waste, etc.
Requirements:
- Experience of HGV Class 2 driving (at least 1 year ideally).
- Good knowledge of tacho laws and regulations.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to move & lift items up to 25kg, so a good understanding of manual handling practices is necessary.
- Have a positive attitude.
