Our client based in Tewkesbury is looking for HGV CE night drivers for a temp to perm vacancy. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
Work start times are between 20:00 and 03:00 usually, the contract is based on 48 hours a week paying £41,204.80 annually (without any extra hours). Work is Monday till Friday and will involve some manual handling as the driver will be responsible for loading and unloading of products (usually in cages). After 12 weeks a full time contract will be offered to the right candidate. This will be temperature controlled delivery (fridge work). This is a great opportunity for a freshly passed driver to kickstart their career as a HGV Class 1 driver as the client considers newly qualified drivers (following a successful assessment) and training is provided.
Our ideal driver will:
- Have full UK cat CE licence, tacho card and valid CPC
- Be physically fit and happy with manual handling as necessary
- Be flexible and reliable, with the ability to work night shifts and weekends as required
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Have previous delivery driving experience (but not necessary as freshly passed considered)
