M4 Bristol are working with an established family business who are expanding. In this hands-on role, you will report to the Chilled Warehouse Team Leaders and Supervisors, interacting with multiple departments to ensure smooth distribution. Working with accuracy and efficiency, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of customer service and upholding our commitment to health and safety.
We use the latest technology including 2025 model Electric Trucks with pre-use checks on the forklift screen and individual access for operators by key card. All forklifts have full 360-degrees coverings, and heated seats with integrated safety systems onboard.
Days worked: Five shifts, Monday - Saturday
Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours per week
Shift Times: Multiple start times, from 0500
Overtime: Overtime pay after 40 hours at 1.25 x standard rate. This role requires flexibility, as end times may vary due to business needs.
Key Duties:
- Operating forklifts to check, transport, and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Assisting on lorries by moving pallets
- Maintaining cleanliness in the yard for a safe working environment
- Complying with food hygiene regulations
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (renewed within the last 3 years) and strong organizational skills. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally. Experience in the dairy or food production sector is advantageous but not essential. Candidates who also have PPT Licences are encouraged to apply.
Important Notes: This role requires manual handling and adherence to strict hygiene standards. Due to food hygiene regulations only one solid wedding band is permitted. No earrings, studs, bracelets, necklaces, makeup, strong smelling deodorants or perfumes are permitted in the production area. Reliable transportation to the Tewkesbury site is necessary, as public transport may not align with shift times.
