We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Purview specialist to support the implementation of Microsoft Purview, with a particular focus on retention and disposition policies across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who has substantial practical experience working with Microsoft Purview and Share Point, and who understands how retention and disposition policies are designed, configured, deployed and managed within a Microsoft 365 environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Purview retention and disposition policies.
- Review existing information, records and retention requirements and translate these into appropriate Purview policies.
- Configure and deploy retention labels, retention policies and related controls.
- Support the application of policies across Share Point and the wider Microsoft 365 environment.
- Advise on the practical deployment and management of retention policies.
- Identify and resolve configuration, policy and deployment issues.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure policies meet business and regulatory needs.
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Document configurations, processes and recommendations.
- Key experience required
- Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Significant experience implementing retention and disposition policies.
- Strong Microsoft Share Point experience, particularly within Microsoft 365.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Purview Information Governance and Records Management capabilities.
- Experience deploying and managing retention labels and policies within a live environment.
- Understanding of how Purview policies interact with Share Point and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Ability to translate business and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions
