About the Business Division: This role is part of MED PLANET, a Lyon based fieldwork agency and a wholly owned subsidiary of M3 Inc. MED PLANET is a leading provider of data-collection services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. We specialize in conducting both qualitative and quantitative market research in France. MED PLANET provides high quality translations and transcription for healthcare fieldwork projects for the M3MR group.
Job Description: As part of the in-house linguistic team, you will play a key role across both linguistic production and quality assurance. You will provide translation, editing, reviewing, and QA support while acting as a language expert for key clients. This role offers the opportunity to influence quality standards, contribute to process improvements, and grow into more senior or specialized roles. You’ll be able to make your mark in the continuous development of this department. You will work closely with our project management team to seek guidance when required and ensure project success.
- Provide translation, post-editing, proofreading, revision, and finalization of multilingual content across various formats
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, fluency, and consistency, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and terminology
- Act as the primary language expert and support all related requests
- Support development and maintenance of language assets (termbases, style guides, translation memories)
- Localize a variety of content types (e.g. medical, legal, marketing, educational)
- Perform bilingual and monolingual reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Conduct quality control (QC) checks, ensuring completeness and compliance with client requirements (content, formatting, non-linguistic elements)
- Review and validate freelancer translations, providing structured feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with other translators to identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, terminology, and linguistic queries
- Work closely with project managers/coordinators to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Assist in developing and maintaining QA processes, procedures, and CAPA investigations
- Manage multiple projects, prioritizing effectively under deadlines
Qualifications:
- Native proficiency in German with near-native English fluency with excellent ability to write fluently and idiomatically
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or other professional certification related to translation or localization
- 1+ years of experience in translation, editing, or content production
- Specialism within medical, market research, and/or pharmaceutical
- Previous translation/proofreading experience in the market research/business field is a plus but not essential
- Experience editing for clarity, grammar, spelling, consistency, and accuracy with few revisions needed
