Job Description

The Director Quantitative Operations primary responsibilities are the planning, organizing and directing day-to-day operations of the Quantitative research department whilst providing support in the implementation of strategic plans to complete the department’s daily projects requirements; ensuring that any direct report staff’s project management responsibilities are performed to a standard that delivers efficient service to clients; assessing, mentoring, training and developing direct report staff whilst working to ensure a strong succession plan is in place and implementing best working practices in the areas of induction, training, and quality control.

Managing performance of All Global Quantitative Field Staff by maintaining a genuine management focus and ensuring that all members of the department are clear regarding company procedures, responsibilities and accountability whilst ensuring skills and expertise are maximized for superior client delivery.

Leading and maintaining an engaged, profitable client focused quality driven field team and planning, developing and implementing strategy for the field department’s processes and offerings in line with unit’s development plans.

Responsible for establishing and managing best working practices to ensure optimal efficiency and quality in deliverables / data and all other associated services to clients; controlling schedule and project allocation to Quantitative field staff and / or client dedicated teams as appropriate and recruiting, assessing, mentoring, training and developing direct report staff.

Establishing effective staff training and induction procedures which incorporates a formal training schedule with check points for review built in to ensure All Global Quantitative staff are equipped with the required skill sets to meet business objectives. Ensuring that staff conduct projects and processes in compliance with the ISO 20252 / 26362 standard, as represented in the Company’s Quality Manual and supporting procedures including industry guidelines (e.g.BHBIA and EphMRA) and other regulatory- and client requirements such as Adverse Event Reporting.

Ensuring effective updating and escalation processes are in place and proactively responding to all issues whether performance or project related and ensuring that any company and / or department initiatives are fully implemented and adhered to.

Responsible for ensuring strong client satisfaction from the Quantitative field team via regular, expert and professional communications and ensuring efficient communication from the Quantitative department to the Client Services, finance and incentives departments and other cross-company resources as appropriate.

Responsible for managing staff costs by ensuring that the Quantitative field team are adhering to company policy regarding time sheets, office hours, holidays and absence as well as managing staff salary costs through efficient planning, resource allocation, staff development, and staff reviews.

Qualifications

  • Competencies:

    • Organizing and Planning – Can effectively manage direct reports and can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal. Has the ability to set objectives and goals by breaking down work into steps.
    • Priority Setting – Spends own time and time of others on what is important and quickly zeros in on the critical few and can quickly assess what will help or hinder in accomplishing a goal.

Characteristics - Strong communications and time management skills, solid organization skills, ability to multitask, creative and collaborative style and positive attitude and personality.

Education and Training Required: BA/BS degree in Market Research, Psychology or Sociology, Economics, Business Administration or related field. Demonstrated proficiency with Decipher, ConfirmIT, Microsoft Office, advanced proficiency in Excel and Word; Access is a plus.

Minimum Experience; Knowledge Skill, Ability: 5-6 years’ experience in Healthcare data collection. Experience in Marketing Research essential. Proven ability to manage direct reports, projects and meet aggressive deadlines with a high level of detail.
