Overview: Due to continued growth, expansion and increasing demand, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing and highly successful engineering business. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals from plant, diesel engine, forklift, HGV, agricultural, powered access, heavy vehicle or mechanical maintenance backgrounds who are looking to join a stable organisation offering long-term career prospects, ongoing development and excellent earning potential through overtime. Working within a busy engineering environment, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of mechanical equipment whilst supporting the wider engineering operation. This position offers a varied workload, excellent job security and the chance to become part of a well-established team.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities
- Complete inspections, testing and equipment checks
- Support refurbishment and preparation of equipment for customer use
- Carry out general mechanical fitting and assembly work
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard
- Complete relevant paperwork and service documentation
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience within one of the following backgrounds:
- Plant Machinery
- Diesel Engines
- HGV / Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Agricultural Machinery
- Forklifts
- Powered Access Equipment
- Mechanical Fitting
- Service Engineering
- Commercial Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong mechanical fault-finding abilities
- Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence desirable
