m2r Education are recruiting qualified English Language Summer School Teachers for a well-established summer programme in Hertford. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced EFL / ESL teachers seeking a rewarding short-term summer teaching role in the UK.
The programme delivers high-quality English language tuition to international students aged 11–17 within a structured and supportive academic environment.
Dates: 1st July to 1st August 2026
Role Overview
- Deliver engaging English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lessons
- Plan and prepare structured lessons aligned with the summer school curriculum
- Use communicative and student-centred teaching methodologies
- Incorporate project work and interactive learning approaches where appropriate
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive academic feedback
- Contribute to the wider academic and pastoral aspects of the summer programme
This role operates on a six-day working week (one day off per week).
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (essential)
- Recognised ESL qualification (e.g. CELTA or Trinity TESOL)
- PGCE with QTS in English or MFL may also be considered
- Experience teaching English language learners
- Confidence managing classes of students
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience in a summer school or residential setting is desirable but not essential
