This Cambridge-based organisation runs international residential summer study programs for students aged 14–18. As Program Dean, you will play a senior pastoral leadership role, overseeing the welfare, comfort and day-to-day needs of students and supporting the smooth delivery of all summer 2026 programs. You will work closely with the Program Director, other senior leaders, supervisors, and teaching staff to offer guidance, resolve student issues, and uphold high standards across all areas of student life.
Program Dates – Summer 2026 (Cambridge residency required):
- Friday 3rd July – Saturday 18th July 2026
- Friday 17th July – Saturday 1st August 2026
- Friday 24th July – Saturday 8th August 2026
- Friday 31st July – Saturday 15th August 2026
Note: Compulsory Induction Training is included during the first Friday and Saturday of your first program. Applicants may apply for one, two, or all programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an ambassador and be the first point of contact for student pastoral support, particularly evenings, overnight, and during excursions.
- Provide welfare guidance, advice, and information on all aspects of student life and program rules.
- Identify and resolve student difficulties relating to accommodation, transfers, administration, schedules, or wellbeing.
- Ensure staff understand and comply with welfare guidelines, safeguarding policies, and procedures.
- Uphold and promote organisational values, standard operating procedures, and code of conduct.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Program Director or senior leadership.

- Previous experience working in a residential setting (Highly Desirable)

- Knowledge of Cambridge city, its colleges and history (Highly Desirable)
Rate: From £680/week based on experience + half-board accommodation. Paid training takes place on the first Friday and Saturday. For safeguarding purposes, an Enhanced DBS check is required for all staff and if living overseas a valid police clearance certificate is additionally required. Two professional references will also be required for all staff.
